Software installation

lgbt computer geek can help install open source, free or paid-for software.

I can suggest software that costs the low price of nothing, and the paid for software that you may have heard of, and perhaps use in the workplace.

Top 5 free software

LibreOffice – just like Microsoft Office, but free
VLC media player – plays just about any media file
Skype – call, message and share for free
MS Security Essentials (Windows 7) or Windows Defender (built into Windows 8, Windows RT, Windows 8.1, Windows RT 8.1, Windows 10) – decent security for your PC
Thunderbird – free email application, similar to paid for Microsoft Outlook that’s easy to setup and customise – and it’s loaded with great features!

Software (‘apps’) can be installed remotely or during a home visit.

Please contact John if you are interested in this service. In many cases this can be done remotely. This includes free downloads and also paid for downloads from Amazon etc.

John Mosley: John's kind of a private guy. But it's hard to be private if you have to sell your services on your own website and social media. So I'm a totally open and private person. Follow John Mosley on Twitter @lgbtgeekuk
